Our client, a respected electrical contracting firm based in Atlanta, Georgia, US, is looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Lead Apprentice Electrician to join their growing team. Responsibilities:Assist licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.Pulling, routing, and connecting electrical wires and cables according to blueprints and specifications.Install lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, and control panels.Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnostic tests on electrical systems.Ensure all work is performed in accordance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper care of tools and equipment.Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.Participate actively in on-the-job training and required coursework for apprenticeship program completion.Assist in the supervision and guidance of junior apprentices, demonstrating proper techniques.Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients.Document work performed and materials used.Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Qualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalent.Enrollment in or completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program.Demonstrated understanding of basic electrical principles and safety practices.Familiarity with electrical tools and testing equipment.Physical ability to perform the demanding tasks of the job, including climbing, crawling, lifting, and working in various environmental conditions.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Reliable transportation to get to job sites throughout the Atlanta, Georgia, US area.A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Must be willing to commit to the full duration of the apprenticeship program.This apprenticeship offers a structured path to becoming a fully licensed electrician, with competitive pay and benefits.
